The night elves (kal’dorei or children of the stars) are a race that evolved from trolls who resided on the shores of the Well of Eternity thousands of years ago, the powers of which granted them higher intelligence and immortality. They have since developed a nocturnal lifestyle centered around their bond with nature and the worship of moon goddess Elune.
