Illidan Stormrage, Malfurion’s brother, is a night elf renegade and antihero. He turned against other night elves during the War of the Ancients to continue harnessing the powers of the Well of Eternity and was imprisoned for 10,000 years. He was later released in the Third War (year 20), where he helped his brethren and led a substantial war effort against the Scourge. Still, he meddled with forbidden powers yet again, permanently transforming into a half-demon, and was subsequently banished from the night elf society forever.
