Continent: Location: Azeroth > Eastern Kingdoms > Northern Continent (Lordaeron). Lordaeron is the Northern continent of the Eastern Kingdoms. Historically, it used to be ruled by the trolls of Zul’Aman, whose nation was reduced into a small pocket between the high elves in the north and the humans in the south when they colonized the Eastern Kingdoms some seven thousand years ago.
Kingdom: The Kingdom of Lordaeron was the northern-most of the seven human kingdoms in the Eastern Kingdoms until its fall against the Scourge of Lordaeron in the Third War (year 20), turning all inhabitants to undead. When the Lich King’s powers waned after the war, these undead regained their free will and rose up under the banner of Sylvanas Windrunner to become known as the Forsaken.
The Alliance of Lordaeron was formed in the Second War (year 5-8) to stop the Orcish Horde from annihilating the continent.
