Jaina Proudemoore is an archmage from the human kingdom of Kul Tiras. She witnessed the Scourge of Lordaeron first hand & sailed with her survivors, when all else failed, to settle at Theramore in Kalimdor. She was the leader of the Kirin Tor for a while.

Kel’Thuzad was a powerful mage who got expelled from the Kirin Tor for his interest in the dark arts. He became a powerful necromancer and helped Lich King Ner’zhul bring the Scourge to Lordaeron. After his death, he returned to serve the Lich King once again after Arthas resurrected him as a lich.

Archmage Khadgar is the current leader of the Kirin Tor. He was an apprentice of Medivh before he had to kill his own evil-possessed master during the First War. During the Second War, he was trapped on Draenor with the Sons of Lothar after the Dark Portal’s destruction, where he spent about two decades until it opened again.

Kil’Jaeden the Deceiver is an eredar demon elected by Sargeras around 25,000 years ago to be a top ranking Burning Legion commander. His focus is assimilating races into the Legion to put them to its will.

The Burning Legion is an army created by the fallen titan Sargeras on his quest to purge worlds, and is composed mostly of the demonic races of the Twisting Nether. The Legion has mounted several full-might attacks on the world of Azeroth, the first of which was the War of the Ancients approximately 10,000 years ago.
